  1. Artist: Craig Chaquico Title: Fire Red Moon Year Of Release: 2012 Label: Blind Pig Records Genre: Blues, Electric Blues, Blues Rock Quality: Mp3/320 kbps Total Time: 47:18 Total Size: 190 Mb (covers) Tracklist: 01. Lie To Me 02. Devil's Daughter 03. Born Under A Bad Sign 04. Bad Woman 05. Rollin' And Tumblin' 06. Fire Red Moon 07. Little Red Shoes 08. Blue On Blue 09. Fogtown Stroll 10. Crossroads Fire Red Moon is neither the arena rock of Craig Chaquico's days with Jefferson Starship, nor the chart-topping smooth jazz that he initially turned to as a solo artist. It's something grittier, more primordial - and utterly surprising. Yet, there he is, chugging and juking with vocalist Noah Hunt (Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band) through "Lie to Me," the first of seven originals on Fire Red Moon, due on October 16, 2012, from Blind Pig Records. Chaquico also tears into tracks from the likes of Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson, and brilliantly reworks the Albert King classic "Born Under a Bad Sign" as a scalding instrumental. There's none of the brawny crunch associated with his mainstream Starship hits, and none of the satiny ruminations of Acoustic Planet - nominated for a new age Grammy in 1995. Chaquico, often alongside touring vocalist Rolf Hartley, instead settles into a dusty-booted groove on "Devil's Daughter," then goes to the bottom of a brown bottle with singer Eric E. Golbach on "Bad Woman." "Little Red Shoes," as with "Devil's Daughter," occasionally betrays just a hint of his pop-chart-topping penchant for a hook, while "Blue on Blue" almost gets quiet enough to recall his more recent smooth jazz past, but Fire Red Moon never strays too far from its central roots-rocking, occasionally Santana-esque theme. Need Your Love Bryce Janey - All Acoustic / Electric Guitars, Vocals Dan Dj Johnson - Bass Steve Hayes - Drums Sam Salomone - Hammond B-3 Organ Gary King - Saxophone Bryce Janey began his career in his hometown of Marion, IA at the age of 13 in a blues-rock trio called The Janey's. With his mother on drums and his father BillyLee on guitar, The Janey's played regionally and nationally from Chicago to Los Angeles. They shared the stage with over 50 national acts, including Buddy Guy, Delbert McClinton, Blues Traveler, Johnny Winter and Koko Taylor. While still in The Janey's, Bryce began a solo career and released his first CD, Practice What You Preach, in 1996 on Hot Fudge Music label. This release was later picked up by an independent label in Minneapolis, MN where Bryce began to showcase in local clubs like Whiskey Junction and BrewBakers in St. Paul. Two more CDs were released, Live at Checker's Tavern and Sweet Baby Jane. These early CDs have gained national attention and five stars from Blues Access magazine (1998) and great reviews from Blues Revue and Living Blues, among others. In 1999, Bryce signed with San Diego music attorney, Rod Underhill and became the number one artist on mp3.com later that year. In 2001, Bryce released his next CD, Bare Wire, and began touring again with his own band and with Iowa's own The Blue Band. Bryce played festivals and successful venues like B.B. King's in Memphis and Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago. The Blue Band also played venues in Minneapolis, Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, Denver and Keystone. In early 2003, Bryce released Live At JM O'Malley's. That same year, he also released The Janey's with his father, Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, BillyLee Janey. He performed with The Janey's father/son team-up, as well as with his own band. Bryce's influences include many artists ranging from Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, and Chuck Berry to Jimi Hendrix, Cream and The Band, in addition to many blues artists http://rapidgator.net/file/de09645ad02d7bffad11280513d0ed41/bjht.rar.html http://ssh.tf/pg0HEQRoL/bjht.rar http://uploaded.net/file/knpxqbrf/bjht.rar
  3. Artist: Rod Price Title: Open Year Of Release: 2000 Label: Burnside Genre: Blues, Modern Electric Blues Quality: APE (image, log, .cue) Total Time: 48:09 Total Size: 325 Mb (covers) Tracklist: 1. One More Time 2. Bluebird Blues 3. Walking Blues 4. Sittin' On Top Of The World 5. Key To The Highway 6. Long Distance Call 7. The Stumble 8. Got Love If You Want It 9. Elevator Woman 10. Dynaflite This is the first ever solo disc from this former Foghat lead guitarist, and it is a return to the music that he loves the best. The music here is the blues as seen and translated by the English guitarists who started the revitalization of the blues as a viable medium. He revisits the standards of many of the old blues masters: Sonny Boy Williamson, Robert Johnson, and Slim Harpo, to name a few. He takes his slide guitar to the forefront as the lead instrument on these, leaving the lead vocals to his old buddy and harp player, Shakey Vick (a happy and long-overdue reunion). The interplay between these two is a pleasure to hear; listen to the way they complement and play off each other on the Chester Burnett standard "Sitting on Top of the World." There is nothing earthshakingly new here, but there is some of the finest lead guitar work ever, with a band that allows plenty of room while at the same time giving good solid support. It brings back and adds to that wonderful style that was first brought to listeners by Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Peter Green, and the rest of the British guitarists.(Bob Gottlieb) http://rapidgator.net/file/f6f142f93e4183d168b73d8c98b019db/rpand2o.rar.html http://ssh.tf/MU2fIJIhL/rpand2o.rar http://uploaded.net/file/55anfaeh/rpand2o.rar

That hit is included on My Toot Toot along with other material from his mid-80s recordings but an added bonus to this collection is the selection of Sidney's earlier classic Jin label material (made between 1959 to 64) and including such gems as No Good Woman and You Ain't Nothing But Fine later covered by The Fabulous Thunderbirds. http://rapidgator.net/file/d8d8194e78f2353eccbdfefcaa3dcd03/rsmtt.rar.html http://ssh.tf/F0Nw4yrhL/rsmtt.rar http://uploaded.net/file/r2ctm2n6/rsmtt.rar

Cut That Out (2:35) 15. Xmas Letter (4:56) "Chicago" Bob Nelson ( July 4, 1944, Bogalusa, Louisiana January 17, 2013], United States) was an American blues musician. Chicago Bob Nelson was a harmonica player and singer who is known for amalgamating Louisiana and Chicago blues styles. He was singular in being mentored by traditional rural southern blues harmonica practitioners and melding their approach with urban Chicago playing, thus creating his own distinctive sound. Nelson died on January 18, 2013. His family was a musical family. Bob's father, Versie Nelson, played upright bass and harmonica. From an early age Bob accompanied Versie to house parties, backyard barbecues and Saturday night fish fries around Bogalusa where cajun music, zydeco and blues were performed. Nelson recalled, "It was just people eating, jamming and having a good time!" Nelson began playing the harmonica at age 8. As a youngster he was encouraged and instructed by Versie's musical cohorts, Louisiana blues legends (and Excello recording artists) Slim Harpo (James Moore) and Lazy Lester (Leslie Johnson). Nelson credited Harpo, Lester, Sonny Boy Williamson II (Aleck Miller) and Jimmy Reed (all of whom he knew) as his primary influences, as well as Sonny Boy (John Lee) Williamson whose recordings he studied. Through listening to these artists, Nelson learned to use his instrument as a "second voice" to interpret and elucidate the emotion and themes of a song. Trips to Chicago to visit family were a major part of Nelson's childhood. By the early 1960s he had taken up residence in Chicago. There he met and performed with Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Earl Hooker and Muddy Waters. The latter, having run into Nelson at nearly every blues venue in Chicago, bestowed upon him the moniker that continues to identify him today. Nelson later performed with Muddy Waters at the Newport Folk Festival. Throughout his career Nelson has toured extensively with Luther "Snake Boy" Johnson, Tinsley Ellis and John Lee Hooker. ~Wikipedia http://rapidgator.net/file/b06d6b184ed2cf20466c1696ee4c1577/ChicagoBobNelsonKeep1993.rar.html http://ssh.tf/9GFbaIeXL/ChicagoBobNelsonKeep1993.rar http://uploaded.net/file/wiytfcfw/ChicagoBobNelsonKeep1993.rar

After discovering the endless links between blues and rock, Robert's musical appetite became Muddy Waters, Albert King, Cream, Sly Stone, The Black Crowes, John Lee Hooker, Stax/Hi Records, Howlin' Wolf, exa. Over time, he played alongside such Memphis music legends as Rufus Thomas, Howard Grimes/Leroy Hodges of the HI RHYTHM SECTION, and Ben Cauley/Sherman Guy of the BAR-KAYS. 15. Artist: Bastard Sons Of Johnny Cash Title: New Old Story Year Of Release: 2013 Label: Randm Records Genre: Country Quality: Mp3/320 kbps Total Time: 36:17 Total Size: 101 Mb Tracklist: 1. Highway Bound 2. Well Worn Heart 3. No Honky-Tonks 4. Poor Man's Son 5. Ain't No Tellin' 6. Leave A Light On 7. Into The Blue 8. El Troubadour 9. New Old Story 10. Bounds Of Your Heart The Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, who came together in 1995, play modern country with an "outlaw" edginess, with some of the attitude and some of the swagger of artists we've come to expect from the man in black himself, Johnny Cash, or from Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, and Kris Kristofferson, to name a few others. Mark Stuart and his fellow Bastard Sons - Dean Cote (guitar), Clark Stacer (bass), and Joey Galvan (drums) ( an early lineup included Buzz Campbell (lead guitar), Alex Watts (lead guitar), and Johnny D'Artenay (bass)), - had been playing in blues and rock bar bands, along the lines of Blues Traveler and the Black Crowes in their native San Diego, but it was Stuart's love of country music that led him to putting together this outfit, even though his city had no country music scene whatsoever when we started out. Like his musical heroes, Stuart didn't change Bastard Sons to fit contemporary in with country's heavily produced, pop-oriented Nashville-Branson sound. The band saw their stock soar after opening for Haggard at the Coach House, in San Juan Capistrano. They recorded their own six-song EP and hit the road, playing gigs along the way with Willie Nelson, Joe Ely, Asleep at the Wheel, Billy Joe Shaver, Dale Watson, and the Derailers (to name a few), and received a lot of attention along the way from record label reps, including two former San Diegoans who both saw potential early on: Joe Rinaldi (A&R) and Lou Niles (VP) of Ultimatum (a record label started by the William Morris Agency), who signed the group in December of 1999. Another self-produced nine-song CD, Lasso Motel, garnered more attention (they were proclaimed one of the Top 100 Unsigned Bands in 1997 by industry rag Music Connection) and in 1998, they received an invitation to perform for over 20,000 attendees of Willie Nelson's Annual 4th of July Picnic in Luchenbach, TX, a three-decade-old institution featuring today's rebel artists of country music. In case you are wondering, this band earned Cash's permission to use his name (who reportedly went against the advice of his own organization to give his blessing). "He's been very supportive over the years, and even helped us get a show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles, which really helped us get a lot of industry attention," said Stuart during one interview, "and that's just one more reason we'd really like to keep the name, and honor the man." After much recording, touring, and numerous personnel changes, Walk Alone, their full-length debut, was released in early 2001. Distance Between arrived in 2002, followed by Mile Markers in 2005. Stuart relocated to Austin, TX, and reorganized the band, eventually renaming it Mark Stuart & the Bastard Sons. At this point, the lineup consisted of Stuart (vocals, acoustic guitar), Lars Albrecht (guitar), Vance Hazen (bass, vocals), and Jim Adair (drums, vocals). Texacali Records released Bend in the Road, the first album under the group's new moniker, on September 22, 2009. http://rapidgator.net/file/b77024a0359476df9512d56fbe586136/bsojcn.rar.html http://ssh.tf/olMTzwToL/bsojcn.rar http://uploaded.net/file/9qtbsyyc/bsojcn.rar

The Mabe A tenor saxophonist with an expressive sound rooted in Jazz tradition, a label owner tirelessly documenting unsung Jazz heroes, one of Canada's most important Jazz impresarios, the hardest-working man in Jazz business - Cory Weeds is all of these things, and much more. Weeds may be best known as the founder and owner of Cory Weeds' Cellar Jazz Club in Vancouver, which he successfully ran for more than 13 years. Weeds built the Cellar to become one of North America's best Jazz clubs, where masters such as George Coleman, Jeff Hamilton, Louis Hayes, David "Fathead" Newman, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and the finest Jazz musicians from Vancouver and across Canada performed before it closed in February 2014. But he wasn't just the club owner. As a saxophonist who studied at the University of North Texas and Capilano College, Weeds spent many nights on the Cellar bandstand as a leader and sideman. He held his own when performing with icons like Joey DeFrancesco and Christian McBride. Weeds has also recorded eleven albums as a leader, including: It's Easy To Remember (with David Hazeltine, Joe Magnarelli, Paul Gill and Jason Tiemann) This Happy Madnes, (with The Jeff Hamilton Trio), Condition Blue, The Music Of Jackie McLean (with Peter Bernstein, Mike LeDonne, and Joe Farnsworth)., As Of Now(with the Harold Mabern Trio), Let's Go (with Steve Davis), the Juno-nominated Up A Step(Cory Weeds Quartet), With Benefits (with Lewis Nash and Peter Washington), Just Like That(with the Tilden Webb Trio), The Many Deeds of Cory Weeds (with Joey DeFrancesco),Everything's Coming Up Weeds (with Jim Rotondi), and Big Weeds (with Peter Bernstein, Mike LeDonne, and Joe Farnsworth). While the Cellar is now a happy memory, the record label Weeds established in 2001 is alive and well. Cellar Live has put out over 100 recordings, including many that have spent extensive time on the JazzWeek charts, with many more releases planned. In addition to playing on numerous sessions, Weeds has also served as producer on more than 80 recordings. On the presentation front, Weeds is employed full-time by Coastal Jazz & Blues (the producers of the annual TD International Jazz Festival) where he serves as Programming Manager for Clubs & Special Projects. Cory Weeds Presents also presents music all over the city at various venues including The Italian Cultural Center, Hycroft at The University Women's Club and Blue Frog Studios in White Rock. Beyond Vancouver, Weeds has a strong affinity with New York City. He brought so many of the Jazz mecca's top players to his club, and has performed, toured, and recorded with many of them. Tapping in to his insider knowledge of the New York scene, he has led the New York With Weeds tour to NYC four times. Weeds leads about 40 Jazz lovers on each tour to Jazz clubs off the beaten track and private recording sessions. The sixth tour in March 2016 sold out in record time and 2017 will see the group head to Chicago, Illinois. Finally, Weeds has also worked as an educator, leading the BC Music Educators Association's Honour Ensemble, giving clinics, and teaching privately. He has also been a Jazz disc jockey on Vancouver Co-Op Radio. 17. Artist: Rob Lamothe Title: Above The Wing Is Heaven Year Of Release: 2003 Label: Southgroove Records Genre: Blues, Blues Folk Rock Quality: APE (image, log, .cue) Total Time: 38:11 Total Size: 217 Mb (covers) Tracklist: 01. It's So Easy 02. Ashes to Ashes 03. Time Will Go By 04. Roads to Freedom 05. Blue Ray 06. Water 07. Paranoid 08. Lies 09. I Ride the Waves 10. Video "Above the Wing is Heaven", the 7th solo album from world-class, gifted singer/songwriter Rob Lamothe, is a deep musical revelation featuring nine beautiful trax of "pure acoustic soul" stripped down to the dirt floor. Songs about love, life and "being human". A deeply introspective batch of tunes that will slowly sink deep into your skin. On "Above the Wing is Heaven" (the first disc for the newly formed Southgroove Records), Rob Lamothe has "laid his burdens down" with a pure, soulful, bluesy bare-bones acoustic trip that is the perfect musical platform for his righteous, beautiful music which, in this setting, takes on a deep, intimate, ethereal quality that is "out of this world". Songs full of graceful beauty and integrity. The lean production is tastefully sparse bringing his soulful voice and striking lyrics well to the fore and provides an ideal finish for Lamothe's gently soulful sound. Acoustic guitars shimmer & weave an expansive bed for him to stretch his vocals out upon, talent balances technical abilty with emotional output in a flawless blend. There is a subtle beauty to the man's music that is rich with soul and emotion. Rob Lamothe is a true musical gem. The depth and range of his voice knows no limits or boundries; he has something intelligent to say and says it with a sense of total conviction that can't help but draw the listener in. "Above the Wing is Heaven" features 9 awesome new trax, including uniquely beautiful, stripped-down acoustic versions of "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath and a righteous, obscure track by Robin Trower called "Roads To Freedom" in rememberance of James Dewar where Rob simply "shines" and guest guitarist Craig Erickson lays down some wah-guitar. Thin Lizzy guitarist Brian Robertson co-wrote and plays guitar on the stellar "Time Will Go By" and there is also a way-kool bluesy acoustic re-working of "Blue Ray" for brother Ray Gillen. The disc is packaged in a kool digi-pack design complete with an incredible, a cappella "hidden bonus track" that is guaranteed to trip many brains. And, as an added bonus, "Above the Wing is Heaven" is an enhanced disc featuring live performance video footage of several tracks from the disc, plus an incredible solo acoustic version of the classic Beatles track, "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" that is worth the price of admission alone. Rob Lamothe's treatment of this track is brilliant beyond words and begs to be seen and heard. "Above the Wing is Heaven" is the perfect collectors item and musical document on this gifted musician. Hardcore fans of his solo music, classic Riverdogs daze and new fans alike will unite with "joyful noise" over the incredibly cool "pure acoustic soul" found deep within the grooves on "Above the Wing is Heaven". "Above the Wing is Heaven" is an awesomely crafted folk-soul creation and Rob Lamothe has found the perfect platform for his potent voice. Rob Lamothe moves far beyond earnest acoustic folk and comes up with something exquisite, soulful and rich. On "Above the Wing is Heaven", Lamothe & company mingle shadows and light, and the result is something very beautiful, compelling and restrained...a cool storm. "In the tradition of any great folk singer/songwriter, Rob shares intimate morsels from his life with a clever ability for story telling through beautiful poetry and vocal emotion." ..."a collection of songs full of grace and vision... ...be prepared to be brought to your knees, gently." http://rapidgator.net/file/f1f3c5b909490536472a1be4724433cc/rla.rar.html http://ssh.tf/L6eLZYRhL/rla.rar http://uploaded.net/file/ybakzct6/rla.rar

  19. Artist: Rick Estrin And The Nightcats Title: One Wrong Turn Year Of Release: 2012 Label: Alligator Records Genre: Blues, Modern Electric Blues, Harmonica Blues Quality: Flac (tracks, log, .cue) Total Time: 49:59 Total Size: 365 Mb (covers) Tracklist: 01. You Ain't The Boss Of Me 11. Old News 12. The Legend Of Taco Cobbler Rick Estrin: Harmonica and Vocals Chris "Kid" Andersen: Guitars, Keyboards, Bass and Vocals Lorenzo Farrell: Organ, Acoustic and Fender Bass and Piano J. Hansen: Drums, Percussion, Vocals Doug James: Saxes on #4 Chris Barnes: Trumpet on #4 Jack Sanford: Saxes on #4,5 Terry Hanck: Sax on #8 Tim-Bob Harris: Trumpet on #12 Aki Kumar: Cowboy Harmonica on #12 Lisa Leu Andersen: Background Vocals on #4,7 The second Rick Estrin solo album to replace the Nightcats' longtime guitarist Little Charlie Baty with Kid Andersen (who again co-produces, records, and mixes, almost making him Estrin's equal for support responsibilities) shows a bit of a progression. It's still rooted in the good-time approach Estrin and Little Charlie adhered to for nine Alligator releases, but pushes more at the edges, toughening up the attack to include hints of surf, rock, jump blues, reggae, Booker T. & the MG's soul, and a terrific '50s-styled slow dance ballad in "Movin' Slow." As frontman, the sartorially sharp Estrin is difficult to beat. His sly fox-guarding-the-hen house vocals and dynamic harp work are flashy in all the right ways, and these songs are some of the best he has recorded which, with his extensive catalog, is quite a compliment. The title track is a typically swinging blues pushed by an Estrin harp solo even the great Little Walter would have been proud of. It's complemented by Andersen's tough rhythmic guitar fills and organ from Lorenzo Farrell, the band's somewhat hidden MVP who also handles bass duties. Estrin's humorous, show-stopping story songs are his calling card with this album's clever "(I Met Her on The) Blues Cruise" filling that slot and simultaneously letting him namecheck some of his fellow blues cruise musicians. But it's when he displays serious chops playing it straight on "Broke and Lonesome," a cutting Chicago blues with Andersen's biting guitar shifting tempos for the bridge, proving Estrin and his band aren't just about double entendres and flamboyant frontmen. He even hands vocals over to bandmate J. Hanson for the drummer's rocking and slightly mean-spirited "You Ain't the Boss of Me," but Estrin seems M.I.A. on the album's two instrumentals. That's odd, because the second of those, Andersen's closing "The Legend of Taco Cobbler," is, at nearly seven minutes, the disc's longest and arguably most ambitious track, shifting from surf to Tex-Mex, spaghetti Western, Memphis soul, and about three other genres (including a brief classical riff) throughout its many changes. As a producer, Andersen's intricate and detailed touch brings additional sounds, occasional overdubbing, and unexpected effects to bolster the mix (the album sounds particularly good with head phones). When an unaccompanied Estrin goes completely solo (harp, vocal, and foot stomps) on "Old News," you understand that in a pinch, he could carry a set without a band. But for this release he has one, and a pretty great one at that, making One Wrong Turn the right move at this stage of Rick Estrin's lengthy and productive career. http://rapidgator.net/file/1e1c6d462264d6cff71e3e1a3f7e1172/reatnowt.rar.html http://ssh.tf/FCz61tqkL/reatnowt.rar http://uploaded.net/file/d64rqj2w/reatnowt.rar

I Need Some Money 11. Your Love Is Killing Me Known to his fans as the "blues guru," Richard Boals has helped to create the blues scene of the American Midwest. Having built his early reputation, between 1974 and 1995, as a sideman for a variety of show bands and country and blues groups, Boals solidified his standing as host of a Monday night jam session at the Dolphin Lounge in Gahanna, Ohio, from 1984 until 1995. Boals' love of music was sparked by the countless hours that he spent in the back of his father's restaurant, harmonizing with doo-wop records. Together with childhood friends Soni Yinger and Al Peterson, he played his first gig in the basement of a restaurant, at the age of eleven. He continued to play at parties and dances throughout his teens. Graduating from high school in June 1970, Boals enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving until shortly after the conclusion of the Vietnam War, in January 1973. Within five days after his honorary discharge, he had secured a gig at a pool party and had formed a new band. He continued to be an active parti[beeep]nt in the Midwest blues scene for more than two decades. After a decade of balancing his music career with classes at Ohio State University, Boals earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy and moved to Denver, where he took a year long hiatus from music. Returning with an impressive album, Mystic City Mantras, which he recorded at the Musical Rec Studios in Columbus, OH, Boals spent five weeks touring the United States. He released a similarly power-driven album, Pieces From the Eclipse, in June 1998. Boals' musical direction went through a dramatic change when he recorded an all-acoustic album, On a Different Path, in July 1999. Forming a new band, Richard P. Boals and the Soals, featuring Al Peterson, Jack Miller, Cornbread Lyons, Steve Hill, Eddy Wilson, and Boals' wife Beth, he recorded Access Denied in October 1999, and That's the Truth the following year. http://rapidgator.net/file/585d417095e36450471d4a1c71ab6846/rbtt.rar.html http://ssh.tf/0057nktkL/rbtt.rar http://uploaded.net/file/53z7d0wn/rbtt.rar http://rapidgator.net/file/c699da709f59e71114918aa5318c9103/rbt.rar.html http://ssh.tf/N93I2UUkL/rbt.rar http://uploaded.net/file/5lpv0r8h/rbt.rar

From Birmingham in the UK he ventured to the USA finding Greenwich Village artists Luigi Franconi and Marco Petrilli at the Terra Blues Club in Bleaker Street, New York. They joined forces to tour Europe then produced this album. In true blues tradition it all ended in tears and the world of music became that much poorer with the band breaking up. The album cover image is held together with sticky tape and already torn in four directions - a prophetic forecast of things to come. I was privileged to act as European Tour Manager for the boys. Following the demise the Rev wrote to say that we might meet at a bus shelter somewhere along the road.
