Growing up with a father who was a Naval Submarine Officer meant living as a modern day gypsy - traveling the American terrain as well as abroad. Recorded by Jesse Lauter (The Low Anthem, Elvis Perkins), Diko Shoturma and Scott Kettner, consists of songs of the soul-searching questions her nomadic upbringing inspired. The leading track To Know Where features backing vocals by Willie Nelson's Farm Aid regular Jesse Lenat and Taken Away features guitar and backing vocals from Michael Daves (Steve Martin, Chris Thile, Rosanne Cash). Her songs weave stories of the hardships and pleasures in life, notably influenced by the American military family lifestyle - blending country, blues and folk with heartfelt lyrics and a powerful vocal delivery.
