Free Download Udemy - Ib Diploma Economics Sl Published 10/2024 MP4 | Video: h264, 1920x1080 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz Language: English | Size: 1.35 GB | Duration: 0h 50m IB Diploma Economics Course for SL students What you'll learn Understand fundamental economic concepts and their implications Analyse economic models and theories Evaluate economic theories and their impact Interpret and use economic data Apply economic knowledge to IB Exam Questions Requirements This course is suitable for all IB students (grades 11-13) and anyone else who wants to learn the basic tools of how an economy works. Description Economics is an exciting, dynamic subject that allows students to develop an understanding of the complexities and interdependence of economic activities in a rapidly changing world. At the heart of economic theory is the problem of scarcity. While the world's population has unlimited needs and wants, there are limited resources to satisfy these needs and wants. As a result of this scarcity, choices have to be made. The DP economics course, at both SL and HL, uses economic theories to examine the ways in which these choices are made:at the level of producers and consumers in individual markets (microeconomics)at the level of the government and the national economy (macroeconomics)at an international level where countries are becoming increasingly interdependent through international trade and the movement of labour and capital (the global economy). The choices made by economic agents (consumers, producers and governments) generate positive and negative outcomes and these outcomes affect the relative well-being of individuals and societies. As a social science, economics examines these choices using models and theories. The DP economics course allows students to explore these models and theories, and apply them, using empirical data, through the examination of six real-world issues. As economic growth and increased efficiency become prominent goals, two other important global economic issues related to these goals are; the ways in which economic activity impacts the environment, and the challenges facing the world in terms of fair access to resources, goods and services. When exploring these significant global issues, sustainability and equity become key concepts for DP economic students to understand. In all areas of economic activity, the economic agents can be divided up into the private sector (consumers and producers) and the public sector (governments). To different extents and with different outcomes, the public sector in any economy assumes some responsibility for monitoring and regulating the behaviour of the private sector. This government intervention is a significant concept that appears throughout the course and students are expected to critically evaluate the balance between the market forces of the private sector and intervention by governments.Given the rapidly changing world, economic activity and its outcomes are constantly in flux. Therefore, students are encouraged, throughout the course, to research current real-world issues. Through their own inquiry, it is expected that students will be able to appreciate both the values and limitations of economic models in explaining real-world economic behaviour and outcomes.By focusing on the six real-world issues through the nine key concepts (scarcity, choice, efficiency, equity, economic well-being, sustainability, change, interdependence and intervention), students of the DP economics course will develop the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that will encourage them to act responsibly as global citizens. The IB Diploma Programme Course Books, which are used to prepare this course, are designed to support students throughout their two year Diploma Programme. They will help students gain an understanding of what is expected from their subject studies while presenting content in a way that illustrates the purpose and aims of the IB. They reflect the philosophy and approach of the IB and encourage a deep understanding of each subject by making connections to wider issues and providing opportunities for critical thinking. The books mirror the IB philosophy of viewing the curriculum in terms of a whole-course approach and include support for the IB leaner profile and the IB Diploma Programme core requirements. The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the IB works with schools, governments and international organisations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right. The aim of this course is to be a companion to you as you embark upon your study of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in economics. Through its overarching emphasis on key economic concepts, we hope that it will help you become, in the words of the IB learner profile, "internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world". Along the way, you'll encounter influential thinkers such as William Stanley Jevons, Carl Menger, Léon Walras, Alfred Marshall, Arthur Pigou, and Vilfredo Pareto. We will also examine the rise of Keynesianism, developed in response to the Great Depression, which challenged classical economics' failure to explain prolonged unemployment and advocated for government intervention. The Austrian School of Economics emerged as a counterpoint to socialist economic theories and growing interventionism, while Monetarism, led by Milton Friedman, arose in response to the shortcomings of Keynesian policies in the 1970s, particularly with regard to inflation. Finally, we will explore the rise of modern schools of thought, which blend elements from earlier traditions, such as the neoclassical and new Keynesian schools, as well as behavioral economics, which questions the classical and neoclassical assumption of the fully rational decision-maker.Why should you sign up for this Course?Understanding the evolution of economic thought is essential for anyone interested in economics, history, or social sciences. Behavioral economics blends insights from psychology with traditional economic models to better understand decision-making by individuals, firms, and other organizations.Behavioral economics has been applied to various areas including public policy, finance, health economics, and marketing. It helps in designing better economic models, public policies, and business strategies by providing a more nuanced understanding of human behavior.By recognizing that humans are not always rational agents and that they are influenced by a variety of non-economic factors, behavioral economics provides a more accurate and detailed understanding of economic behavior, paving the way for interventions that can improve individual and societal outcomes.Topics included:Anchoring:Loss aversionConfirmation biasStatus quo biasEndowment effectAvailability heuristicFraming effectChoice architectureDefault biasOverconfidence biasReciprocitySocial proofScarcity biasSunk cost fallacyHeuristicsIrrational escalationHyperbolic discountingProspect theoryNudgeBounded rationalityMental accountingPriming:Halo effectAvailability cascadeZero-sum biasSelf-serving biasAnchoring and adjustmentHot-cold empathy gapIntertemporal choiceSocial discountingDual-process theory Who this course is for All Psychology students All Economics students All consumers All business owners All studying business - especially marketing Anyone who really believes the consumer is rational - all the time Homepage https://www.udemy.com/course/behavioural-economics-applying-psychology/ Screenshot Rapidgator https://rg.to/file/46523460460820090a0df24ecaa031e2/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part4.rar.html https://rg.to/file/7290201e01e3a4363c135c0774b881ef/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part2.rar.html https://rg.to/file/7ae4979ca7e4d581059596d99a1aad8c/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part6.rar.html https://rg.to/file/8365850759ddce50c6f2eebd306c7cd6/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part3.rar.html https://rg.to/file/a23d3b447ea34de948bdabc595c25c3d/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part5.rar.html https://rg.to/file/a39936391de302cf0f354aa9c3091b29/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part1.rar.html Fikper Free Download https://fikper.com/F4ergETJPZ/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part2.rar.html https://fikper.com/VCi3FMPDet/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part3.rar.html https://fikper.com/cZJMr48fjS/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part1.rar.html https://fikper.com/e6xaiQtqw0/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part6.rar.html https://fikper.com/jIA3TgJRc4/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part4.rar.html https://fikper.com/jwUimQYqTn/gosiy.Behavioural.Economics..applying.Psychology.part5.rar.html No Password - Links are Interchangeable

Winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1976, Friedman was both a highly respected economist and a prominent public intellectual, the leader of a revolution in economic and political thought that argued robustly in favor of virtues of free markets and laissez-faire policies. Milton Friedman on Economics: Selected Papers collects a variety of Friedman's papers on topics in economics that were originally published in the Journal of Political Economy. Opening with Friedman's 1977 Nobel Lecture, the volume spans nearly the whole of his career, incorporating papers from as early as 1948 and as late as 1990. Doyne Farmer Narrator: J. Doyne Farmer From a pioneer in the field of complexity science and chaos theory, a plan for solving the world's most pressing problems. We live in an age of increasing complexity-an era of accelerating technology and global interconnection that holds more promise, and more peril, than any other time in human history. The fossil fuels that have powered global wealth creation now threaten to destroy the world they helped build. Automation and digitization promise prosperity for some, unemployment for others. Financial crises fuel growing inequality, polarization, and the retreat of democracy. At heart, all these problems are rooted in the economy, yet the guidance provided by economic models has often failed. Many books have been written about J. Doyne Farmer and his work, but this is the first in his own words. It presents a manifesto for how to do economics better. In this tale of science and ideas, Farmer fuses his profound knowledge and expertise with stories from his life to explain how we can bring a scientific revolution to bear on the economic conundrums facing society. Using big data and ever more powerful computers, we are now able for the first time to apply complex systems science to economic activity, building realistic models of the global economy. The resulting simulations and the emergent behavior we observe form the cornerstone of the science of complexity economics, allowing us to test ideas and make significantly better economic predictions-to better address the hard problems facing the world. Free Download Left Behind: A New Economics for Neglected Places (Audiobook) English | ASIN: B0CQ8SN3BV | 2024 | 11 hours and 42 minutes | M4B@64 kbps | 335 MB Author: Paul Collier Narrator: Peter Noble From the bestselling author, the fate of the poorest regions of the world-some of which exist in the richest nations-is examined. Using examples of the "left behind" regions, renowned development economist Paul Collier shows that centralized western economies have been the most ineffective to alleviate poverty-even if nationally the country seems to be growing. In Left Behind, Collier examines how the assumption that any impoverished area will find a way to progress through market forces has devastated nations all over the world. With keen insight, he draws lessons from such disparate fields as behavioral psychology, evolutionary biology, and moral philosophy to explain how we can adapt to the needs of individual economies in order to build a brighter and fairer global future. Part One explores the economics of payment systems and money markets. Part Two explores connections with foreign exchange and capital markets. The last three or four decades have seen a remarkable evolution in the institutions that comprise the modern monetary system. The financial crisis of 2007-2009 is a wakeup call that we need a similar evolution in the analytical apparatus and theories that we use to understand that system. Produced and sponsored by the Institute for New Economic Thinking, this course is an attempt to begin the process of new economic thinking by reviving and updating some forgotten traditions in monetary thought that have become newly relevant. Three features of the new system are central. Most important, the intertwining of previously separate capital markets and money markets has produced a system with new dynamics as well as new vulnerabilities. The financial crisis revealed those vulnerabilities for all to see. The result was two years of desperate innovation by central banking authorities as they tried first this, and then that, in an effort to stem the collapse. Second, the global character of the crisis has revealed the global character of the system, which is something new in postwar history but not at all new from a longer time perspective. Central bank cooperation was key to stemming the collapse, and the details of that cooperation hint at the outlines of an emerging new international monetary order. Third, absolutely central to the crisis was the operation of key derivative contracts, most importantly credit default swaps and foreign exchange swaps. Modern money cannot be understood separately from modern finance, nor can modern monetary theory be constructed separately from modern financial theory. That's the reason this course places dealers, in both capital markets and money markets, at the very center of the picture, as profit-seeking suppliers of market liquidity to the new system of market-based credit. Drawing on methods from psychology, sociology, neurology, and economics, this remarkable dis[beeep]line illuminates one of the most deeply fundamental activities of human existence: the decision process. Show Full Description From the moment we wake in the morning, we are confronted with decisions-from what to buy at the supermarket or how to spend the weekend to which career path to pursue, which car to buy, or how to invest our money. Most of the time we make good decisions. But some of the time we don't. Whether our decisions are successful or less than optimal influences how our lives unfold. Paradoxically, although we are constantly making decisions, we rarely reflect on the actual process of decision making itself. Making decisions can seem largely intuitive-and intuitions don't always lead to happy outcomes. But what if you could be fully aware of the process? What might life be like if you could put your hands on the gears of decision making-the specific patterns of perception and cognition that shape your choices-and turn the process to your advantage? Behavioral economics offers just that possibility. With an incisive focus on human behavior, behavioral economics uncovers what is usually hidden from view in our decision-making process, exploring the key motivators for our decisions, such as probability, risk, reward, and the passage of time. In doing so, it sheds fascinating light on our psychology and on how our brains process information and shape our perceptions as we make decisions. Most important, by applying its unique approach to many kinds of real-life choices, behavioral economics offers powerful, practical tools for making better and more satisfying decisions. As a case in point, behavioral economics identifies many human biases or behavioral tendencies that influence our decisions, sometimes outside of our awareness. Behavioral economists show, for example, that our brains predispose us to see things that are familiar as being better or more valuable-making name-brand merchandise or stocks of familiar companies seem desirable. This innate human tendency can lead to bad economic decisions. The good news, as behavioral economics clearly shows, is that our customary processes and patterns of decision making are not inevitable. By becoming aware of them and watching how they operate in our daily actions, we can open new possibilities for our own behavior and for decision making that can meaningfully improve our quality of life. In Behavioral Economics: When Psychology and Economics Collide, award-winning Professor Scott Huettel of Duke University leads you in a penetrating look at the processes of decision making that are an integral part of human life. In 24 revealing lectures, you'll study how behavioral economists look at decision making and explore a set of core prin[beeep]les that offer profound insight into how we gather information and integrate multiple factors to reach decisions. Using real-life examples and case studies, each topic builds to concrete recommendations so that you can understand the patterns of decision making, the purposes they serve, and how to use your knowledge to make more effective and beneficial decisions. Uncover the Hidden Structures in Decision Making Professor Huettel brings focus to intriguing and seemingly paradoxical questions regarding human behavior: Why does voluntary blood donation decline steeply when people are paid for it? When faced with the same medical condition, why do doctors choose objectively better treatment for their patients than they do for themselves? Why do employees often fail to enroll in beneficial retirement plans, including plans requiring no financial contribution on their part? All of these may seem counterintuitive, yet they have a deep structure that we can understand when we apply the tools of behavioral economics. In grasping the underlying factors in decision making, you'll explore key topics such as these: Simple rules: "heuristics": Study the common internal guidelines people use to streamline decision making, or "heuristics"; observe four of the most prevalent ones, using real-life examples; and identify where heuristics are helpful and where they fail. Decisions regarding probability: Learn how human beings convert objective information about probability into a subjective sense of what may happen-an approach filled with error-and grasp two methods for improving probability-based decisions. Time-related decisions: Consider why decisions involving time are so challenging; study how time influences the subjective value of money; and learn key strategies for making better time-related decisions. Dealing with risk: Examine the element of risk tolerance in decision making; investigate the dynamics of perceived benefits versus perceived risks in decision problems; and study prin[beeep]les for successfully managing risk. High stakes: medical decisions: Uncover three core factors that influence how we make medical decisions, and learn how to apply the prin[beeep]les of behavioral economics to improve choices in this area. Group decision making: Explore how the diversity of groups benefits decision making, and investigate the prin[beeep]les that lead to good group decisions and how to use those prin[beeep]les in a range of practical contexts. Behavioral Biases: Turning Limitations into Strengths As a central element of these lectures, Professor Huettel highlights cognitive patterns that influence our behavior, pushing us toward safety, temptation, or immediate rewards. Among these is what behavioral economists call confirmation bias-the tendency, in decision making, to intuitively seek evidence that confirms our existing beliefs, or to reinterpret evidence that argues against existing beliefs. Using clear-cut examples, you'll learn how you can counteract or minimize this bias, leading to better-informed and wiser choices. The course concludes with an in-depth look at two highly effective approaches to shaping decisions. "Precommitment" to a course of action involves making a binding decision in the present for benefits that will occur in the future. "Reframing" strategies alter how the facts of a decision are evaluated against some reference point, allowing critical new insights to appear. You'll explore the powerful effects of precommitment and reframing in examples ranging from economic transactions and consumer choices to decisions regarding investment and retirement. Practical Leverage for Empowering Choices In Behavioral Economics: When Psychology and Economics Collide, you'll gain a much deeper awareness of how you make decisions, and what steps you can take to make better ones. 23. TTC Video - The Economics of Uncertainty English | .M4V, AVC, 2000 kbps, 640x360 | AAC, 128 kbps, 2 Ch | 24x30 mins | 11.13 Gb Genre: eLearning Economies are deeply complex systems. The global marketplace even national, state and local economies involve many economic actors behaving in rational and irrational ways, sustaining a dizzying array of interconnected activity. Because of the nuMber of parti[beeep]nts involved in this global exchange, the unpredictability of their actions, and the sheer variety of possible actions, some degree of economic uncertainty is inevitable. Lecturer: Professor Connel Fullenkamp Ph.D. In one of the most dramatic displays of economic uncertainty in our times, a wave of toxic loans almost brought down the American financial system in 2008-2009, and with it jobs and savings. Few experts forecast this catastrophe, which stands as a lesson in the power of economic forces to defy our predictions. This event may have been exceptional, but every day we are all at the mercy of economic uncertainty in matters such as these: Stock market: Although the stock market has a long-term upward trend, short-term volatility can wipe out a large fraction of an investor's wealth in a single day. Careers: No job is safe from the constant assault of domestic competition, offshoring, innovation, downsizing, government regulation, and other factors. Insurance: The types of insurance products have skyrocketed to the point that you could easily spend all of your earnings to cover possible disasters. Retirement: Is your retirement secure if you live to be 100? What if you suffer a debilitating chronic disease? How will your nest egg fare if inflation soars? MORE Uncertainty also plagues us in smaller ways. For example, everyone is familiar with rising prices, but the Internet now makes it possible for online shoppers to be charged more based on their buying history, adding a new level of unpredictability to pricing. And anytime you hire someone for a service-from roofing to dentistry-you face the prin[beeep]l-agent problem, in which the person hired may take unethical advantage of your lack of expertise. Indeed, these large and small risks are so pervasive that it is all too easy to conclude that nothing can be done. But economic uncertainty is like the weather: you can't stop storms from happening, but understanding how and why they happen allows you to be prepared. In the same way, economic uncertainty is beyond our control, but we're in a much better position to respond if we know what's happening and why. In 24 practical and empowering half-hour lectures, The Economics of Uncertainty takes the mystery and dread out of uncertainty, giving you the tools to deal with risk in every phase of your life. Your guide is Professor Connel Fullenkamp, an acclaimed economist and award-winning teacher at Duke University, where he is Professor of the Practice and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Duke's nationally ranked Economics Department. Deepen Your Knowledge of Economics Gearing his presentation to novices as well as those with a background in micro- and macro-economics, Professor Fullenkamp shows that the study of uncertainty sheds light on a wide range of phenomena, including: financial markets business cycles inflation and deflation free trade regulation strategic thinking career development family financial planning The course also introduces fundamental ideas in probability, statistics, and game theory that give deep insight into the world of risk and require only high-school level mathematics. In addition, the critical thinking skills you acquire in The Economics of Uncertainty have broad applications beyond economics. For example, the decision tree approach to problem solving, presented in Lecture 7, can come to the rescue whenever you need to find the optimum path to any goal, whether it is selecting your next vacation destination or choosing the best college options for your child. Enjoy the Expertise of a Personal Advisor Governments and large financial institutions rely on teams of experts to steer them through the perilous waters of uncertainty. In The Economics of Uncertainty, Professor Fullenkamp serves as your personal advisor, explaining in detail how uncertainty works and providing valuable tips such as these: Think critically: Knowing the two types of probability-frequency-based and subjective-helps you judge the claims of people who appeal to probability to convince you to take a particular action. Weigh risk vs. benefit: When you have to choose between risky alternatives, start from the least risky choice and decide how much extra risk you can tolerate for a given amount of increased benefit. Mix it up: Since you can't negotiate prices when shopping online, be unpredictable. Don't always take the first price you're offered. Put some items in your shopping cart and then log off without buying them. Cultivate your career: Companies thrive by having a comparative advantage over their competitors. Do the same in your job by identifying what you do better than most people. Then cultivate that strength. Learn How to Survive and Thrive The trick to surviving and thriving in an uncertain economy is to know the sources of risk and how much of a threat they pose. It also helps to have a guide as experienced, eloquent, and engaging as Professor Fullenkamp, who, in his consulting work, has designed and led training courses for bankers and government officials for the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. With The Economics of Uncertainty, it is your turn to experience his fascinating seminars, covering topics such as these: Black swans: Popularized by best-selling author and risk analyst Nassim Taleb, a black swan is a rare, baffling event with great impact. Professor Fullenkamp analyzes the 2008 financial crisis in light of this intriguing theory. Asymmetric information: Often one party in a transaction has a monopoly on information-for example, in a used car sale. Discover how this problem affects every sector of the economy through adverse selection and moral hazard. Compensation: Getting a job done well is often a matter of how the payment is made and what performance incentives are offered. Evaluate the risks and rewards of several approaches to compensation contracts. GaMbling: Even if you've never bought a lottery ticket or set foot in a casino, you gaMble every day. Learn how to address economic decisions with a seasoned gaMbler's knack for separating good bets from bad. One of the most important lessons about uncertainty is that it's built into the world. At times, the economy may seem like it's careening out of control, but we are simply living through the fluctuating uncertainties that have always been with us. There's no reason to despair, since uncertainty is a phenomenon that can be understood and managed. "Knowledge is power," says an old proverb. After taking this invaluable course, you'll have the essential background to manage your economic life toward a more secure future. 24 Lectures 01. Man, Nature, and Economic Uncertainty 02. 24. Basic Economics, Fourth Edition: A Common Sense Guide to the Economy English | 23 hrs 51 mins | ASIN: B004HFK0YU, ISBN: 1441778640 | MP3 | 675 Mb Genre: Audiobook, Nonfiction, Economics The fourth edition of Basic Economics is both expanded and updated. A new chapter on the history of economics itself has been added, and the implications of that history examined. Among other additions throughout the book, a new section on the special role of corporations in the economy has been added to the chapter on government and big business. Basic Economics, which has now been translated into six foreign languages, has grown so much that a large amount of material previously found in the back of the book has now been put online instead so that neither the book itself nor its price will have to expand. The central idea of Basic Economics, however, remains the same: The fundamental facts and prin[beeep]les of economics do not require jargon, graphs, or equations and can be learned in a relaxed and even enjoyable way. 25. Ha-Joon Chang - Economics: The User's Guide Unabridged AudioBook | 2014 | Genre: General Non-Fic | English | ISBN-13: 978-0718197032 | MP3 64Kb | Length: 11 hrs and 17 mins | 310.81 MB In his best-selling 23 Things They Don't Tell You About Capitalism, Cambridge economist Ha-Joon Chang brilliantly debunked many of the predominant myths of neoclassical economics. Now, in an entertaining and accessible primer, he explains how the global economy actually works - in real-world terms. Writing with irreverent wit, a deep knowledge of history, and a disregard for conventional economic pieties, Chang offers insights that will never be found in the textbooks. Unlike many economists, who present only one view of their dis[beeep]line, Chang introduces a wide range of economic theories, from classical to Keynesian, revealing how each has its strengths and weaknesses, and why there is no one way to explain economic behavior. By ignoring the received wisdom and exposing the myriad forces that shape our financial world, Chang gives us the tools we need to understand our increasingly global and interconnected world often driven by economics. From the future of the Euro, inequality in China, or the condition of the American manufacturing industry here in the United States - Economics: The User's Guide is a concise and expertly crafted guide to economic fundamentals that offers a clear and accurate picture of the global economy and how and why it affects our daily lives.
