After discovering an old arrangement that her late father, Don Costa, had written for Frank Sinatra, Nikka (with some help) was able to use these 50-piece orchestra arrangements and re-write them for a string quartet and eventually to the recordings on this album. Nikka released her first record at the young age of eight in 1980. Her relationship with Frank Sinatra growing up led her to record with and perform alongside Frank Sinatra and the White House.
