Impact Soundworks Django Gypsy Jazz Guitar KONTAKT | 4.37 Gb A stunning collection of three virtual instruments tailor-made for gypsy jazz and swing music! DJANGO includes two lead guitars (acoustic & electric DI) plus an acoustic rhythm guitar, all with incredible realism and superb playability. The heart of Django Reinhardt's signature style, available in your DAW at last. This library is a tribute to the legendary musical style of its namesake, Django Reinhardt, innovator of gypsy jazz (also known as gypsy swing, hot club jazz, or jazz manouche). We recorded three instruments - acoustic lead, electric lead, and acoustic rhythm - designed to deliver solo and accompanying parts in the characteristic expression and speed of this wonderful style. With over 20,000+ samples total, we can confidently say we achieved our goal! But the degree of sampling depth and authenticity included in DJANGO makes the instrument suitable for other contexts as well: modern jazz, swing, blues, or even pop, and can provide an alternative sound for lead steel or nylon acoustic guitar parts played with a pick. The rhythm instrument is ideal for the well-known upbeat swing rhythm, best known as "la pompe", in any key and with a wide range of chords. The designer of DJANGO, Dimitris Plagiannis, also produced our popular bouzouki and oud sample libraries, and approached this with the same sampling philosophy: meticulous recording, editing, and scripting techniques to make the instruments sound absolutely real. Not just through intelligent note playback (smart virtual fret selection, bends, slides, release noises), but also by including playing inconsistencies that provide the dynamics, flow, and expressiveness of real acoustic performances. Given the popularity of the shakuhachi and taiko in many Western film soundtracks, we wanted to allow film composers, hobbyist producers, ethnomusicologists, anime fans and everyone in between access to these classic instruments and complete the repertoire of traditional Japanese sounds available. This library includes a massive number of samples spanning a wide variety of both traditional and extended playing techniques all recorded by koto legend Masayo Ishigure (Memoirs of a Geisha). This includes close and stereo room mic positions! A total of 25 main patches spread among the three instruments cover all crucial playing techniques, such as sustained picks with a plectrum, pizzicato, octaves, glissandi of multiple types and speeds, vibrato, tremolo, mordents (pitch bends), and mutes, as well as extended techniques such as atonal glissandi, finger scrapes, string hits and hard plucks. Multiple dynamic and round robin layers were recorded for each articulation, as well as variations in speed or tonality where appropriate; for example, the koto tremolo can be played at two main speeds (with fine speed control), mordents can be set to whole-tone or half-tone, glissandi can be played slow, fast and in ascending, descending or mixed order, and so on. This incredible depth of sampling allows for unparalleled realism, allowing the instruments to stand alone in a solo context as well as in a larger composition. Shreddage 2 vs. Classic The tone of Shreddage Classic, featuring a 6-string SG Standard, is more thin and aggressive than that of Shreddage II, which used a darker and more full 7-string. This makes it ideal for harsh and brutal rhythm riffs. The range of Shreddage Classic (G3-B6) does not extend as far as Shreddage II (G3-E8). Instead, it focuses on a rich and deeply-sampled lower octaves, ideal for RHYTHM playing. Shreddage Classic uses less memory & CPU, as it does not have a string/fretting engine. Instead, there is one set of samples per note, as opposed to each note on each string/fret being sampled.
