It includes 7 violins, 2 viola, 7 cellos and 2 basses in total. The musicians we recorded are german-known session and live orchestra musicians. All content was recorded in several recording sessions in our own recording rooms in a close and intimate distance to the instrument in a solo as well as in a trio situation. We have used condenser mics such as Neumann U-87 and TLM 103, Schoeps MK4 as well as dynamic mics such as Sennheiser MD421, AKG D112 among others. Aria Sounds LSS Solo Strings - Solo Violin KONTAKT | 2.73 Gb This is the individual solo violin instrument from our "LSS Solo Strings" sample library bundle, which also replaces our previous solo violin, and is not even comparable in quality. We have sampled the instrument in a large beautiful London concert hall, with many microphones, making up four main, mixable mic perspectives, close mono, close pair, mid room and far room. Three legato modes were sampled - slurred, bowed and portamento. These are easily switchable during use via keyswitches, and one exceptionally useful feature, which we are shocked to say we rarely see in string libraries, is the ability to change bow on the same note. Simply hold the note you want to change bow on, and press the low G keyswitch. Staccato and whole tone trills are also included, with the staccatos having 24 variations per note so as to never sound repetitive - also switchable via keyswitch. Another feature included is the ability to alter the release sound when the final note is played and released. A soft release is a normal removal of the bow from the string, but through keyswitching, you can also select hard release, which triggers a hard release. This is the sound of a player ending the note with a sharp crescendo and quick accented lift of the bow. Cinematique Instruments Zilhouette Strings (KONTAKT) | 1.82 GB Zilhouette Strings is the collection of all our strings we recorded so far! It includes 7 violins, 2 viola, 7 cellos and 2 basses in total. The musicians we recorded are german-known session and live orchestra musicians. All content was recorded in several recording sessions in our own recording rooms in a close and intimate distance to the instrument in a solo as well as in a trio situation. We have used condenser mics such as Neumann U-87 and TLM 103, Schoeps MK4 as well as dynamic mics such as Sennheiser MD421, AKG D112 among others. Zilhouette Strings is the first pure string library we are releasing and we are very excited about it! In summary, you get a collection of string sounds which is directly at your fingertips. You can quickly select the amount of player, mix the separate instrument groups at your own requirements, select the kind of seating and place them into an ambience - and that´s all with an intimate, natural and catchy sound. Zilhouette Stings are extremly flexible and you can surely use them for a wide range of musical genres. Musical Sampling Soaring Strings KONTAKT | 3.87 Gb We wanted performances that catered to... (yes, I have to say it) soaring string lines and dramatic passages by having the players really dig in with the vibrato and giving us all they had with the triple forte dynamic. This also meant approaching the sessions in a unique, musical way to capture the kind of singular legato we were looking for. Another focus was to dial things back with what we felt was necessary to produce credible string arrangements in a shorter amount of time. This involved creating a single, natural mix and omitting seldom-used legato articulations. We also developed a "Sustain Sync" feature that synchronizes the starting sustain with the following intervals/repetitions, which saves you from having to make adjustments to start-notes to closely match the intervals timing upon quantization. Lastly, we included a "To Silence" button that can enable the modwheel to completely diminish the softest dynamic to silence. This not only provides unique possibilities with expression, but also saves the need to use another controller to simulate a decrescendo to "niente". We also agreed that recording medium-sized ensembles in their traditional seating arrangement would not only provide enough "solo-istic" detail in the recordings, but would have a more natural transparency when writing harmonies. After various tests throughout the year, months of recording, editing, programming and bringing the polish as far as we could - we're thrilled to finally share our debut offering, Soaring Strings.
