How Easy is KeyShot?

KeyShot is the fastest and easiest to use 3D rendering and animation software available. In just a few steps you can create amazing looking images from your 3D models that can be used throughout the product development process to make design decisions and quickly create variations of concepts for customer, manufacturing or marketing.

 

Step 1: Import your 3D model

With KeyShot open, import your BIP files, Alias WIRE, PTC Creo, Rhinoceros, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Pro/ENGINEER, IGES, STEP, OBJ, 3ds, Collada, and FBX data directly. KeyShot supports the most popular formats and has plugins for a few of them also.

 

Step 2: Paint your model

Use any of the 700+ scientifically accurate materials from the material library by simply copying and pasting them onto the model. You will instantly see what your design will look like, with the given material, color, and finish, under the current lighting conditions.

 

Step 3: Choose your lighting

Simply select an environment image (HDRI). As soon as you change the lighting environment you will notice the effect the real world lighting captured in those environments has on materials, colors and finishes.

 

Step 4: Adjust your camera

Framing your scene is just like using a real camera. You can change angle, distance and twist. You can control perspective with focal length and field of view settings and you can easily add depth of field to your scene.

 

Step 5: Adjust your background

Quickly and interactively cycle through colors, choose from pre-loaded photos, or set your own images as the background for your shot.

 

Step 6: Enjoy the perfect picture

You are done! From start to finish, a simple six step process to beautiful images, all happening in real-time - right in front of your eyes.

Pattern Updates

Patterns have been completely updated with KeyShot adding the ability to Edit Patterns, set Scattering and automatically adjust the camera and the pattern is created.

 

Advanced Procedurals

Six new KeyShot Procedural Textures are available in KeyShot, including Brushed (3D), Camouflage (3D), Lattice Circular (2D), Lattice Polygon (2D), Spots (3D) and Wood Adv. (3D).

 

Render Cameras

Create multiple camera views and environment Viewsets in KeyShot, then add all saved Cameras and Viewsets to the Render Queue in a single click.
