Northern Irish country artist Justin McGurk is gearing up for the release of his tenth studio album later this summer, helmed by the lead single 'Picked A Winner'. A full-time musician whose vocals and musicianship have lent themselves to weddings and extensive touring with his band The Boogie Men, appearances on national TV and radio and performances with the likes of Martina McBride, Nanci Griffith, Hal Ketchum, Collin Raye, Bonnie Tyler and The Proclaimers, Justin is in high demand in his home country as well as abroad.

 

'Picked A Winner' has a cheery, upbeat sensibility to it, rooted in the neo-traditionalism of 90s country and the Irish folkiness of his birth. "I picked a winner when I fell in love with you," he sings sweetly on the hook, up against dynamic drums, thick guitars to add texture, fiddle and swelling female harmonies.
