Główną rolę powierza pewnej zmagającej się z licznymi kompleksami hollywoodzkiej aktorce (Jess Weixler). Dziewczyna jednak nie potrafi odnaleźć się na planie filmowym głównie dlatego, że postać, w którą się wciela, jest niewidoma, a na planie znajduje się wielu artystów upośledzonych fizycznie. Wiele scen odgrywa z mężczyzną cierpiącym na neurofibromatozę (Adam Pearson) - genetyczną chorobę powodującą deformację. Wykonawcy i twórcy cały czas igrają z polityczną poprawnością.
