Nauczyciel francuskiego Eric Capadis (Cyrille Hertel) popełnia samobójstwo na oczach swoich uczniów. Jego stanowisko zostaje powierzone młodemu Pierre'owi Hoffmanowi (Laurent Lafitte), który szybko zauważa, że sześcioro jego nowych podopiecznych ma skłonności do brutalnych zachowań. Okazuje się też, że te niezwykle inteligentne i śmiałe nastolatki i terroryzują całą szkołę, szerząc wrogość i strach. Przepełnia ich wściekłość i pogarda zwłaszcza wobec bezsilnych nauczycieli, którzy nie potrafią chronić uczniów. Pierre już wkrótce odkrywa, do czego oni dążą. Jego życie zamienia się w koszmar.
