He received the National Association of Broadcasters Technology Innovation Award for demonstrations of advanced new media technologies and the European Interactive TV grand challenge first prize. He has served as an IEEE Communications Society Distinguished Lecturer (with 10 invited lectures worldwide) as well as an expert witness.
