  2. Artist: Trobar de Morte Title: Ouroboros Year Of Release: 2016 Label: Trobar de Morte Genre: Medieval, Folk Quality: 320 kbps Total Time: 50:10 Total Size: 120 Mb Tracklist: 1. Summoning the Gods (04:15) 2. Idunn (04:36) 3. The Wolf (03:23) 4. Yggdrasil (04:39) 5. While the Field Is Green (03:15) 6. Vision Dream (05:04) 7. The Mystic Path (04:45) 8. V??lusp??: The Beginning and the End of the World (04:36) 'The Spanish band Trobar de Morte is well-known as one of the masters of medieval folk music in Europe. After four years they are returning to us with their 6th full-length album titled "Ouroboros". The ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. It symbolizes self-reflexivity, introspection, or cyclicality. The entire album is filled up with mythological lyrics and symbols. There are many references to Norse mythology and legends. You can see this even in the titles of the tracks. Idunn and other gods invite you to this magical journey full of mystical melodies. Under Yggdrasil, which connects the nine worlds, you can meet the Wolf. How well do you see? Is it Fenrir? However â?žOuroboros" is not only Nordic-inspired music. Have a look at the track â?žWhile the Field is Green". It is clearly a Celtic melody. And by the way it is the most soft and blissful track on that album. When you listen to it, you feel pure joy, playfulness and maybe desire to dancing during the starry night or in the torrid sun. This album was really worth of waiting, even such a long time. "Ouroboros" is of an incredible stunning quality. It's perfect in technically way, every tone is immaculately clear. Every fan of Trobar De Morte (and not only) will be in love with this release. Beautiful, uplifting melodies, choral singing of Lady Morte and amazing sounds of typical for folk instruments like flute, hurdy gurdy, violin and bagpipes. Close your eyes. Believe and see. This vision, this mythological world is marvelous. You are around great, big, green trees full of ripe, fresh, red apples. This forest is so wild and georgeous. And have a look at this glistening in the sun snake. Do you hear the voice of the eternity? Do you see your destiny? Maybe this is only a dream?. In several songs (like â?žVision Dream", â?žThe Voice of Eternity" or "Ouroboros") you can hear sounds similar to the legendary Dead Can Dance. It is a some kind of tribute to Lisa Gerrard and Bredan Perry. They pamber the listeners by so many unearthly, miraculous tracks. And Trobar de Morte made this tribute masterfully. Moreover on this album you can hear cooperation with Fiona Frewert from Faun and Victor Santal, Celtic harp player. Attention should be paid to the cover of this album too. Beautiful graphic is the work of Victoria Frances, which art was the cover of the Omnia's album "Naked Harp" too. "Ouroboros" is the most amazing album of Trobar De Morte, it is better even than "Silver Wheel", what seemed impossible. It is poetic, wonderful, beautiful and full of magic. So have a sit between the green fields of imagination and listen to how the beginning and the end of the world sound.' http://rapidgator.net/file/31bc939d1ada77a130c1136b246b0991/TrobardeMorte320.rar.html http://ssh.tf/wCzKYGGD7/TrobardeMorte320.rar http://uploaded.net/file/jh8aah4j/TrobardeMorte320.rar

  8. Artist: B.J. Thomas Title: I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry & Tomorrow Never Comes Year Of Release: 2009 Label: Collectors' Choice Music Genre: Pop/Rock/Country Quality: MP3 320 Kbps Total Time: 68:59 Total Size: 165 MB Tracklist: 1. Gonna Send You Back to Georgia (2:25) 24. Candy Baby (2:31) 25. Your Tear Leave Me Cold (3:05) 26. I'm Not A Fool Anymore (2:22) After slogging it out on the Texas indie circuit during the first half of the '60s, B.J. Thomas hooked up with Huey P. Meaux and Sceptre Records in 1966. This was on the heels of Thomas releasing a full-length album with his supporting band the Triumphs, a record called I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, and B.J. used the same title for his Sceptre debut, which makes sense as it's the first single that brought him to the charts. Thomas' version of Hank Williams' standard emphasized pop over country without completely pulling out the roots, a fairly good indication of the blend of roots musics on the LP. Under the guise of a pop singer, Thomas dabbles with country, blues, and soul, never quite committing fully to any of these sounds, but sounding fairly convincing in each. He's a good enough mimic to replicate Tom Jones' swagger on "It's Not Unusual," he pounds out a good "In the Midnight Hour," lays back easy on the country slow dance "The Titles Tell," and he's unashamed to lay on the corn on "Bring Back the Time" and "Mama," a quality that would serve him well later. If the record winds up seeming scattershot, a collection of different sounds in search of a hit, that's because it is: Thomas was game to try anything that could perhaps reach the charts, and no one style fit him better than the next. As such, I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry winds up playing a bit as a mid-'60s sampler, which makes it an enjoyable period piece as well as a fairly promising debut. Like its predecessor, B.J. Thomas' second album, Tomorrow Never Comes, is characterized by its soulful dabbling. Thomas doesn't have one style, he has many, rooted in country and soul, sometimes touching on the blues, often wrapping this all up in a punch pop confection. This rootless roots music is diverse, but it doesn't necessarily play as versatility, perhaps because Thomas is almost too adept in adapting to his surroundings, not pushing through his personality but rather going with the flow. This isn't necessarily a problem, particularly on Tomorrow Never Comes, which has an easy touch Thomas would later leave behind, but it does leave him at the mercy of his songs, many written and/or arranged by his Triumphs bandmate Mark Clarron, which alternate between the solid and saccharine here. Thomas may have a flair for the kitsch but not even he can save Clarron's rewrite of his cornball "Mama" as "Daddy" -- nor does he seem truly invested in the weird tale of the suicidal "Plain Jane" -- so the album winds up being on much firmer ground on the stomping "Gonna Send You Back to Georgia," the shimmering of "Baby Cried," the mini-melodrama of "Walkin' Back" and the lively "Mystery of Tomorrow." Perhaps these aren't forgotten gems, or cuts that should have been hits, but they're solid '60s AM pop songs that remain enjoyable even if they're not quite distinctive. http://rapidgator.net/file/e9c96efd0e8c18c2f31f6fb2beee5918/B.J._Thomas_-_I_m_So_Lonesome_I_Could_Cry___Tomorrow_Never_Comes_2009.rar.html http://ssh.tf/9zUnpCiu7/B.J._Thomas_-_I_m_So_Lonesome_I_Could_Cry___Tomorrow_Never_Comes_2009.rar http://uploaded.net/file/6m0imn6l/B.J._Thomas_-_I_m_So_Lonesome_I_Could_Cry___Tomorrow_Never_Comes_2009.rar

  10. Artist: Tim Hagans Title: Alone Together Year Of Release: 2013 Label: Pirouet Records Genre: Jazz Quality: Mp3 / 320kbps Total Time: 52:48 min Total Size: 120 MB Tracklist ---------- 01. See You Again 02. Not Even The Rain 03. Sweet Peach Tree 04. Over And Back 05. You Don't Know What Love Is 06. Alone Together 07. Stella By Starlight Tim Hagans: trumpet; Marc Copland: piano; Drew Gress: bass; Jochen Ruckert: drums. On the surface, Tim Hagans' Alone Together looks more like a Marc Copland disc with trumpeter Hagans as the leading voice. The rhythm section is Copland's longstanding trio, responsible for albums that include the pianist's resplendent Some Love Songs (Pirouet, 2005). The set list, like many of Copland's, is a mix of re-imagined standards and the pianist's own writing, which (while undeniably mainstream) occupies a position left of center, the result of a uniquely ambiguous and sophisticated harmonic aesthetic. But Alone Together belongs to Hagans by virtue of its greater propensity for fiery swingers. Hagans' first Pirouet disc, the sublime Beautiful Lily (2005), more clearly inhabited Copland's stylistic territory, with greater emphasis on impressionistic writing and playing, though the trumpeter contributed four of that album's eleven tracks, alongside two Copland tunes, one standard, and four spontaneous duet inventions. To be sure, while Copland has never been averse to pulling out some stops, as he did on his Both / And (Nagel-Heyer, 2006), his albums invariably lean towards introspection. Alone Together does gaze inward occasionally, but is largely brighter and more boisterous than most of Copland's discography. ~John Kelman http://rapidgator.net/file/731cadab97c8a3219680fe45773e7234/TimHagansAloneTogether.rar.html http://ssh.tf/mN6tkkXD7/TimHagansAloneTogether.rar http://uploaded.net/file/ev2ucny1/TimHagansAloneTogether.rar

As The Years Go Passing By ( 7:06) Stony Plain Records announces a September 9 release date for Maxwell Street, the new CD from three-time Blues Music Award winner as "Guitarist of the Year," Ronnie Earl and his band, the Broadcasters. Maxwell Street is named in honor of the late blues pianist and previous member of the Broadcasters, David Maxwell, and is also a nod to Chicago's famed Maxwell Street, where blues musicians gathered to play outside for the Sunday market crowds. Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters are: Ronnie Earl - guitar; Lorne Entress - drums; Dave Limina - piano and Hammond B3 organ; Jim Mouradian - bass; and Diane Blue - vocals. Special guest guitarist on the album is Nicholas Tabarias. Maxwell Street was produced by Ronnie Earl and recorded at Wellspring Studios in Acton, Massachusetts, and Wooly Mammoth Studios in Waltham, Mass. Ronnie formed his band, the Broadcasters, in 1988. "This album is dedicated to my big brother David Maxwell," says Ronnie Earl. "We were born on the same day ten years apart. His playing was as deep as the ocean, as high as the sky and as bright as a quasar. When he passed, I felt a huge loss as I still do. David was a Broadcaster and he and I made a few records together. It was always a supreme honor to play with him. He played blues as well as jazz with incredible expression from Otis Spann to Cecil Taylor. He knew and loved it all. He became Otis Spann in the later years. Our pianist David Limina wrote a tune ("Elegy for a Bluesman") that captures the feeling of the album and we all send our love and respect to David's family and all of our love and gratitude for David Maxwell." Maxwell Street showcases 10 tracks, including six originals, plus exciting covers of songs by Otis Rush (one of Ronnie's main musical mentors), "Double Trouble;" Gladys Knight ("I've Got to Use My) Imagination;" Eddy Arnold, "You Don't Know Me;" and the blues/soul chestnut, "As the Years Go Passing By," which closes the album. Ronnie and the band performed a special set at the recent Chicago Blues Festival in honor of Otis Rush. In his review of that concert, DownBeat writer Jeff Johnson singled out Ronnie for praise: "Perhaps the most heartfelt expression came from the guitar of Ronnie Earl. His playing was a study in economy, yet electrifying enough to make the hairs on your neck stand on end on the seminal Rush tune, "Double Trouble." http://rapidgator.net/file/e0ac41327626fb965ddbc1df5573e2b6/RonnieEarlMaxwellStreet2016.rar.html http://ssh.tf/MIAeIVku7/RonnieEarlMaxwellStreet2016.rar http://uploaded.net/file/ddbw5a98/RonnieEarlMaxwellStreet2016.rar
  15. Artist: The Three Sounds Title: Introducing The 3 Sounds Year Of Release: 2013 (1958) Label: Blue Note Records Genre: Jazz, Soul Jazz, Hard bop Quality: FLAC (tracks) [24bit/192kHz] Total Time: 37:53 Total Size: 1,50 GB Recorded: September 16, 1958 (tracks 1-3 and 5) and September 28, 1958 (tracks 4 and 6-8) in Rudy Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, NJ. What's remarkable about Introducing the Three Sounds is how the trio's lightly swinging sound arrived fully intact. From the basis of this album, it sounds as if pianist Gene Harris, bassist Andrew Simpkins, and drummer William Dowdy have been playing together for years. There's empathetic, nearly intuitive interplay between the three musicians, and Harris's deft style already sounds mature and entirely distinctive. There's no question that this music is easy to listen to, but dismissing it because of that would be wrong - there's genuine style in their light touch and in Harris' bluesy compositions. The Three Sounds never really deviated from the sound they established on Introducing, but that's one of the things that is so remarkable - they were fully formed on their very first album. Even if it was a peak, it wasn't the only peak in their career. A recording industry was flourishing, one that was competing with western European companies for an "ethnic music" market. By drawing on the musicality of its neighboring central Asian minorities, this Russian industry was provided with the sounds to succeed. This superb CD is a compilation of 26 of these early recordings. Many of the ensembles heard on this release utilize highly developed vocal techniques, small-bodied long-necked lutes, reed pipes, and compact drums. The reason for this similarity in instrumentation is due to the fact that many central Asian cultures were nomadic and, thus, required their belongings to be portable. Because these recordings are old, you may hear an occasional skip and crackle of the needle. These extrinsic characteristics do not take away from the beauty of the music. If anything, the minor pops and hisses serve to remind listeners of the historical import of these recordings. http://rapidgator.net/file/5bb092c907d4d85a45a5b639619815c5/The_Secret_Museum.rar.html http://ssh.tf/eLqimNWD7/The_Secret_Museum.rar http://uploaded.net/file/lox6gnlj/The_Secret_Museum.rar

Nails (3:03) Ever wish that the Cranberries had more bite and substance, that the Sundays were less glossy, that 10,000 Maniacs were less rootsy and vocal dependent, and that one of them would acquire more chops in the rhythm section? If you had, and if you can excuse the apparent male critic B.S. that all bands with a female singer must be compared to the above, the second LP by this Champaign, IL, foursome would fill the bill nicely. The songwriting is generally genuinely strong, Henry Frayne's guitar playing is enveloping, snug, and intelligently (and deftly) developed, with just the right shimmer without being the least bit wimpy, and Lynn Canfield's soulful vocals are sweetly concerned without being melodramatic. The favorite is probably the waltz-time "Crybaby," where Frayne's guitar tickles with a smidgen of regret, and drummer Brendan Gamble's tom fills and cymbal hits are tight, tasteful, and titillating all at once. A drummer with power and a delicate touch is a pleasure. Add in the pretty sleeve work and you've got a winner. This band is a small notch above its more famous, above-mentioned contemporaries. ~ Jack Rabid, The Big Takeover, All Music Guide http://rapidgator.net/file/ad75c8a89e6771b34740121f8adceed4/7fair49320.rar.html http://ssh.tf/uoOHxQFu7/7fair49320.rar http://uploaded.net/file/ahhq27ka/7fair49320.rar http://rapidgator.net/file/ad29ecf1df4610d2ef354ae60871b575/7fair49FLAC.rar.html http://ssh.tf/XFZosENE7/7fair49FLAC.rar http://uploaded.net/file/uk7ritny/7fair49FLAC.rar

Thomas (born Billy Joe Thomas) straddled the line between pop/rock and country, achieving success in both genres in the late '60s and '70s. At the beginning of his career, he leaned more heavily on rock & roll, but by the mid-'70s, he had turned to country music, becoming one of the most successful country-pop stars of the decade. Thomas began singing while he was a child, performing in church. In his teens, he joined the Houston-based band the Triumphs, who released a number of independent singles that failed to gain any attention. For the group's last single, Thomas and fellow Triumph member Mark Charron wrote "Billy and Sue," which was another flop. After "Billy and Sue," Thomas began a solo career, recording a version of Hank Williams' standard "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" with producer Huey P. Meaux. Released by Scepter Records in early 1966, the single became an immediate hit, catapulting to number eight on the pop charts. Although he had a series of moderate follow-up hits, including a re-release of "Billy and Sue," Thomas failed to reenter the Top Ten until 1968, when "Hooked on a Feeling" became a number five, gold single. The following year, he scored his biggest hit with Burt Bacharach and Hal David's "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," taken from the hit film Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. It was followed by a string of soft rock hits in the next two years, including "Everybody's Out of Town," "I Just Can't Help Believing," "No Love at All," and "Rock and Roll Lullaby," which featured guitarist Duane Eddy and the vocal group the Blossoms. After "Rock and Roll Lullaby," Scepter Records went out of business and B.J. Thomas headed to Paramount Records. At Paramount, Thomas had no hits, prompting the singer to pursue a new country-pop direction at ABC Records. "(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song," his first single for ABC, became his second number one record on the pop charts, as well as establishing a country career for the vocalist. For the next decade, he continued to have hits on the country charts, with a couple of songs -- most notably "Don't Worry Baby" -- crossing over into the pop charts. During this period, he switched record companies at a rapid pace, but it did nothing to slow the pace of his hits. Thomas hit his country peak in 1983 and 1984, when he had the number one hits "Whatever Happened to Old Fashioned Love" and "New Looks from an Old Lover," as well as the Top Ten hits "The Whole World's in Love When You're Lonely" and "Two Car Garage." Throughout the '80s, B.J. Thomas recorded a number of hit gospel records for Myrrh concurrently with his country hits, but his most prominent song was "As Long as We Got Each Other," a tune that served as the theme song to the sitcom Growing Pains. At the end of the '80s, the hits began to dry up for Thomas, but he continued to tour, and put out the occasional country and gospel record in the '90s. In the new millennium, he concentrated primarily on Christmas and Christian recordings, but in 2013 he returned with The Living Room Sessions, his first secular album in years. This was a stripped-down collection of covers of his old hits, sometimes performed as duets with such stars as Lyle Lovett, Vince Gill, and Keb' Mo'; it debuted at 39 on the Billboard country charts. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine http://rapidgator.net/file/1176e64240dfb1317b60218c85b74a9c/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._1_2012_FLAC.rar.html http://ssh.tf/O2UfYILE7/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._1_2012_FLAC.rar http://uploaded.net/file/y6stw7o1/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._1_2012_FLAC.rar http://rapidgator.net/file/efc7a04e68610ce60cc944608ace0721/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._2_2012_FLAC.rar.html http://ssh.tf/iEiepnRE7/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._2_2012_FLAC.rar http://uploaded.net/file/tfprv44f/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._2_2012_FLAC.rar http://rapidgator.net/file/a5530aa345cf1ef75e1adaf70ae60229/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._1_2012.rar.html http://ssh.tf/aCLDkp7u7/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._1_2012.rar http://uploaded.net/file/hh12g5f9/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._1_2012.rar http://rapidgator.net/file/0de06a14f5b6688cd3e2307678f5c855/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._2_2012.rar.html http://ssh.tf/ZarjDbmu7/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._2_2012.rar http://uploaded.net/file/9z96vdb6/B.J._Thomas_-_Anthology_Vol._2_2012.rar

Love Gets You High (04:47) Scottish band Haggis Horns are a brass heavy funk powerhouse that have been rocking clubs up and down the country for the last few years, combining breakbeat funk, soul, hip-hop and afrobeat with the virtuosity of trained jazz musicians. Formed around the nucleus of Malcolm Strachan (trumpet) and Atholl Ransome (tenor sax, flute), this superbly named outfit extend to an eight piece live outfit, with guitarist Ben Barker also taking a production role in their recorded output. Following the tragic loss of founder member Jason Rae early in 2008, the boys hit the studio to record the follow up to their album debut "Hot Damn!" .With the new 11 track Keep On Movin' album they've teamed up with singer and fellow funk aficionado Nia Saw (aka Lucinda Slim) who has performed around the world with the likes of Zap Mama and DJs alongside Keb Darge at their long established Deep Funk night at Madame Jojo's in London's Soho. The new album sees them back at their funky best with energetic brass led stabs, funky guitar licks and the sort of snappy backbeat that could cause whiplash unless properly supervised. From the straight up B-boy funk of "The Jerk" to the Isley Brothers-esque disco funk of "Love Gets You High" and the infectious vocal afrobeat of "Too Blind", this is another belter of a record from Scotland's answer to The JB's that is sure to reinstate their place as one of the world's premier funk bands. ~ Aaron Coultate http://rapidgator.net/file/346e8466d555646de360038804d16ee9/KOMO.rar.html http://ssh.tf/XApNU9pE7/KOMO.rar http://uploaded.net/file/gdziqy0c/KOMO.rar http://rapidgator.net/file/6ca6d024d283da405fa2b51e06eed647/KOMO320.rar.html http://ssh.tf/ING2CErD7/KOMO320.rar http://uploaded.net/file/sz53vjf8/KOMO320.rar

Brubeck and the Coltrane-influenced tenor Bergonzi take consistently exciting solos on seven standards which are highlighted by "Music, Maestro, Please," "I Hear a Rhapsody" and "It's Only a Paper Moon"; Brubeck's solo version of "St. Louis Blues" is also noteworthy.
