  5. Artist: The Fleshtones Title: The Band Drinks For Free Year Of Release: 2016 Label: Yep Roc Records [YEP-2451] Genre: Garage Rock Quality: FLAC (tracks+.cue, log) Mp3 Total Time: 36:55 Total Size: 343 MB 144 MB (Scans) One of the most energetic bands in the business, The Fleshtones will celebrate their 40th anniversary with the release of their 21st album, The Band Drinks For Free. Featuring 12 songs about love, deceit, and death in classic Fleshtones style, the album carelessly (to the purists) tosses together the fuzz-guitar and Farfisa organ riffs of so-called "garage rock" with rockabilly, soul, and surf. And, yes, the band still drinks for free. Dubbed "America's Garage Rock Band" and "The Kings Of Garage Rock," The Fleshtones have been the subject of books (Sweat by Joe Bonomo, Continuum Press 2007) and movies (Pardon Us For Living But The Graveyard's Full, 2009) as well as amazement from fans and detractors alike. The Fleshtones are well into their fifth decade of making believers out of the most jaded naysayers with their mongrel stew known as "Super Rock." Tracklist: 01. Love Like A Man (Alvin Lee) 3:30 02. 6. Artist: The Five Corners Quintet Featuring Mark Murphy Title: Hot Corner Year Of Release: 2008 Label: Ricky-Tick Records Genre: Jazz / Soul / Bossa Quality: FLAC (tracks) / MP3 Total Time: 46:29 min Total Size: 338 MB / 124 MB Tracklist: 01. Hot Rod (5:41) 02. Kerouac Days in Montana [Featuring Mark Murphy] (5:14) 03. Skinny Dipping (3:28) 04. Rich In Time ft Okou (3:11) 05. Midnight In Trieste (4:39) 06. Come and Get Me [Featuring Mark Murphy] (5:09) 07. Interlope II (0:37) 08. Waltz Up (4:14) 09. Easy Diggin (4:55) 10. Shake It (4:54) 11. Habibs Habit (4:38) Here's a twist for you -- a Finnish band playing newly composed soul-jazz and post-bop music. The Five Corners ensemble is clearly influenced by the Horace Silver/Lee Morgan/Art Blakey strain of '60s jazz, and even uses recording techniques that are reminiscent of the reel-to-reel two-track era. Saxophonist Timo Lassy and trumpeter Jukka Eskola front this well-heeled jazz band that harkens back to better times for the music, and feels good doing it without resorting to funk or dance music. When you hear tracks like the handclap induced "Skinny Dipping," the delightful soul traipse "Waltz Up," or the echoed "Shake It," it is clear where this music takes its information from. Lassy proves his versatility in stepping away from his John Coltrane influenced side going more for a Hank Mobley/Joe Henderson approach He's especially good playing flute during the excellent "Habib's Habit," a hip modal piece that swings hard, and fully showcases the considerable gifts of pianist Mikael Jakobsson. "Hot Rod" is a spy swing jazz with a basic melody, while "Midnight in Trieste" also sounds like soundtrack music with Lassy's tenor sax, the vibraphone work of guests Arttu Takalo, and Pekka Jaclin on tympani. Most of the material goes beyond the advertised five-piece combo, several cuts feature a string section -- fairly unobtrusive -- and the veteran vocalist Mark Murphy appears on two tracks. He sings "Kerouac Days in Montana," bringing out the '60s cruising California cool factor, while an Oliver Nelson derived "Come & Get Me" combines an orchestral approach blended in with rhythm & blues. Unfortunately, the balance between words and instruments tends to favor the music and not the singers, especially on Okou's feature "Rich in Time," where the strings and horns half-bury his thin vocals. Not only does the music have a retro feel, the production values overall reflect this, a bit muddled and murky, not sounding up to date or digital at all. Not a fault musically though, especially if you would enjoy a fresh take on mainstream jazz looking back in order to move forward. -- Michael G. 10. Music, Maestro, Please! (8:57) 2. I Hear a Rhapsody (6:06) 3. Symphony (5:10) 4. I Thought About You (5:22) 5. It's Only a Paper Moon (5:33) 6. Long Ago and Far Away (8:03) 7. St. Louis Blues (3:11) Personnel: Dave Brubeck - piano; Jerry Bergonzi - tenor saxophone; Chris Brubeck - bass; Randy Jones - drums. The third of three Concord albums by this version of the Quartet (with Jerry Bergonzi on tenor, Chris Brubeck on bass and bass trombone and drummer Randy Jones) is the most rewarding of the trio although each one is recommended. Brubeck and the Coltrane-influenced tenor Bergonzi take consistently exciting solos on seven standards which are highlighted by "Music, Maestro, Please," "I Hear a Rhapsody" and "It's Only a Paper Moon"; Brubeck's solo version of "St. Louis Blues" is also noteworthy. -- Scott Yanow http://rapidgator.net/file/6443a256e06a764ab15c49ab8e05c38e/PAMO.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/EFBh2fZjp/PAMO.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/93eqq1g3/PAMO.rar

  15. Artist: The Bob Lanza Blues Band Title: Til The Pain Is Gone Year Of Release: 2013 Label: The Bob Lanza Blues Band Genre: Blues, Modern Electric Blues Quality: Mp3 320 / Flac (image, log, .cue) Total Time: 57:46 Total Size: 204/491 Mb (covers) Tracklist: 01. Maudie 02. I'll take care of you 03. 'Til The Pain Is Gone 04. Snake Byte 05. Outskirts Of Town 06. I'm Ready 07. Everynight And Everyday 08. Build Me A Woman 09. Sugar Sweet 10. Lonesome 11. Our Life 12. Mojo There is only one way to play the blues: From the heart with ferocity as if your life depends on it. Singer, songwriter and guitarist Bob Lanza from the wilds of north New Jersey leaves no doubt as to motivation with a scorching second release following his debut Things Ain't So Bad (2009). Years with Floyd Phillips and the Mudflaps and backing legends like James Cotton prepared his audition as a new blues guitar hero. 12 original and cover tunes range from tough to tender backed by the Reverend Sandy Joren (bass), Noel Sagerman (drums), David "Snakeman" Runyan (harmonica) and a number of guest artists, including son Jake Lanza (guitar). With the rhythm section kicking hard, Mike Bloomfield's "Maudie" roars with Jake burning the frets off his axe and Joe Cerisano enthusing his undying affection for the lady. The Bobby Bland classic ballad "I'll Take Care of You" is raw and sensitive at the same time, Lanza making the lyrics his own over the empathetic organ of Ed "Doc" Wall and the serpentine harp of Runyan, his guitar wordlessly expressing his feelings. The thumping title track boogies as Lanza makes his case for singing the blues with tough poetry like "I was born into pain, yes, people think I'm insane, but if y'all live my life, you probably jump in front of a train," Runyan testing his reeds and the guitar man squeezing thick, distorted cries from his instrument before twisting it into horseshoe in the outro solo. The original instrumental "Snake Byte" follows with a "juke" shuffle and a showcase for Runyan over the hot, swinging rhythm. A heartrending version of the classic "Outskirts of Town" finds Lanza exposing his soul vocally and instrumentally, blues phrasing and timbre flowing naturally from him as he trades challenging solos with Lee Delray, each heavyweight pushing the other to greater emotional heights. Willie Dixon's "I'm Ready" is given an authentic Southside of Chicago reading, Lanza singing and playing with suave confidence and Runyan blowing sweet and tart. A side trip to the Westside of Chi-town produces the Magic Sam minor key classic "Every Night & Every Day" as Wall rakes his organ and Lanza growls passionately while punishing his strings. The Texas shuffle of "Build Me a Woman" by Pat Ramsey mines a backslapping beat for Lanza to describe his perfect female and fry the frets of his guitar with climactic solos and penetrating fills. The Chicago blues standard "Sugar Sweet" spotlights Wall finessing the ivories with consummate skill and propelling the brisk shuffle like a vintage Cadillac V-8. The melancholy ballad "Lonesome," recorded by Memphis Slim among others, is a wistful country blues with the low volume, nuanced guitar of Lanza blending seamlessly with the understated piano of Wall reminiscent of Slim and Matt Murphy, while featuring his world weary vocal. The original strutting hypnotic boogie shuffle "Our Life" is an acoustic guitar/harp duet lamenting familiar ruts with "I sit alone and I wonder, what's ahead for me, do I have to keep coming home all alone and hang with my best friend, Mr. TV. I wake up in the morning, dog's starin' in my face, when will the powers that be who rule us, disappear into outer space?" A house rocking version of "Got My Mojo Working" leaves the listener craving more of the mile deep grooves, soul stirring vocals and exceptional improvisation. Bob Lanza presents a convincing story and expresses universal emotions every time he opens his mouth and puts pick to string. It is an unforgettable experience not to be missed that only increases in intensity over time. http://rapidgator.net/file/146ffa32c55db6268c37ce128edc749e/tblbbtt.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/BvRtFNQvp/tblbbtt.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/liq821we/tblbbtt.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://rapidgator.net/file/e22a03813ceddd600d7fd2d19aa0ab95/blbbt.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/kpoPAdEZp/blbbt.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/hprfm2tu/blbbt.rar

The Blues Rebels began in 2012 as a one-time friendly jam between two veteran Blues artists - guitarist Andy Watts and singer/harmonica player Dov Hammer - but the immediate chemistry between the two and the powerful stage show that resulted was undeniable. The Blues Rebels soon became one of the hottest Blues bands on the scene, playing with world-class Blues artists such as Joe Louis Walker, Lucky Peterson and Bernard Allison. The band was also chosen to open for the legendary Johnny Winter, who told the band how impressed he was by their performance. After 2 years of burning up stages with their incendiary live show, the Rebels began work on their first album, a compilation of 14 original songs by Dov Hammer and Andy Watts. The band set up in the studio at Kibbutz Ma'abarot and tore through the songs in three days, capturing the live energy and passion of their infamous live show. Over The Mountains (5:56) After the international success of their first album the second one named â?žDiesel Rock" shows even more spice and refinement. The lyrics continue the narrative threat and life is really pulsating within. Some songs to heat up, and when there's enough tension, the concert ignites itself. Simply Diesel Rock or if you want blues-rock with a touch of funk. Their first album had a great response in the English speaking regions, with lots of Airplay in the USA, position 3 in the countdown of Radio Caroline and praise by the journal Blues Matters from the UK. Their concerts are the finest, be it in a club or on the stage of a festival. Willy Matt possesses the charm of a man, who hasn't forgotten how to laugh despite all the blues lived. Shrewd he lights his cigar, and smokes it while playing guitar and singing at the same time. It feels again sometimes hard as the cliffs of the Alps, and just the same you can find tender flowers touching us. http://rapidgator.net/file/93a4be5b8c66e7ba34c0d8b8bc809643/bmd.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/pGYuzi1Zp/bmd.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/vhpmqssv/bmd.rar

Ranking Roger - Close The Door (4:34) The Beat was formed in Birmingham in 1979, with members Dave Wakeling (vocals, guitar), Ranking Roger (vocals, toasting), Andy Cox (guitar), Everett Morton (drums), veteran Jamaican saxophonist Saxa, and from the Isle of Wight, David Steele on bass. The band was part of the West Midlands ska revival scene that also produced The Specials and The Selecter, whilst London saw the formation of Madness and The Bodysnatchers. The Beat's first single was an arresting version of Smokey Robinson's "Tears Of A Clown", given a completely new feel, and was backed with their own composition "Ranking Full Stop". Released in a one-off deal on Jerry Dammers' Chrysalis-backed 2-Tone label, the single stormed into the Top 10 in December 1979, and saw the band appear twice on Top Of The Pops. Backed by Arista, the band formed their own label Go-Feet Records, with its own distinctive art direction and design provided by Hunt Emerson. The first release in February 1980 was another Top 10 hit, "Hands Off... She's Mine", and was the first of twelve chart singles for the band on Go-Feet, a list that includes permanent favourites like "Mirror In The Bathroom", "Too Nice To Talk To", "Best Friend", "All Out To Get You", "Doors Of Your Heart", "Save It For Later" (later covered by both The Who and Pearl Jam!), "Jeanette", "I Confess" and their Top 3 hit cover of "Can't Get Used To Losing You". The band released three albums "I Just Can't Stop It" (1980, # 3), "Wha'ppen?" (1981, # 3) and "Special Beat Service" (1982, # 21), which contained many tracks that demonstrated their more politicised and socially-conscious leanings in songs like "Stand Down Margaret", "Get-A-Job", "Big Shot" and "Click Click". The band broke up in 1983, Dave Wakeling and Ranking Roger going on to form General Public, and Andy Cox and David Steele forming Fine Young Cannibals. http://rapidgator.net/file/3f358c9601c4533eba62cdb94bb618fa/tbfrrb.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/rlGHUXtvp/tbfrrb.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/327l8lec/tbfrrb.rar

The Apples started out in 2002, when a friend assembled the members of RadioTrip (Ofer Tal, known as SchoolMaster, and Uri Wertheim, known as MixMonster), drummer Yoni Halevy and bassist Shai Ran. The idea was to create a funky base combined with samples, scratching, and a dominant brass division. Their first impressions were actually spontaneous improvisations, which formed the basis of The Apple's first album, "Mitz" (Hebrew for "juice"), published on 2003, which was recorded in one recording session. Their second album, "Attention!" was released in October 2005. The album launch was accompanied by a tour culminating in New Year's Eve at the "Comfort" club in Tel Aviv in front of an audience of about 700 people. The UK edition of "Attention!" was released in 2006. The record contains a bonus track: "Strip Ahskrac 'first Hebrew'". In October 2006, The Apples released a single through the record company Freestyle Records located in London. Albums are distributed worldwide by the two major distribution companies in Europe, Goya Music and SoulSeduction. In January 2007, The Apples toured for three weeks in Britain. They primarily played at the Jazz Cafe nightly. In June 2007, the band released the single (EP) on vinyl 7" with a cover of "Killing in the Name Of" by the band Rage Against the Machine. It gained popularity, and sold out in the shops within a few days, becoming a hit dance radio stations in Europe and Australia. In May 2008, The Apples released their third album "Buzzin' About", on vinyl and CD, through Freestyle Records. In 2010, they released their fourth album, "Kings". The band collaborated with Fred Wesley, the Trombonist musical director of James Brown, and Shlomo Bar, lead singer Natural Selection. http://rapidgator.net/file/552511d4544401892f0d6bc8a6aa8e4f/TABAB.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/1JW8fmtvp/TABAB.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/kybjzbl5/TABAB.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://rapidgator.net/file/22d2b73316637009aad55904927dd490/TABAB320.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/dhNr3CEvp/TABAB320.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/4vhgwtcm/TABAB320.rar
  24. Artist: Benny Golson Title: Horizon Ahead Year Of Release: 2016 Label: HighNote Records Genre: Post-Bop, Jazz Quality: FLAC (tracks+.cue,scans)/320 Total Time: 54:58 Total Size: 302/126 MB Tracklist: 01. Don't Get Around Much Anymore (Ellington-Russell) - 6:17 02. Jump Start (Golson) - 3:10 03. Horizon Ahead (Golson) - 6:04 04. Mood Indigo (Bigard-Ellington-Mills) - 4:17 05. Out of the Darkness, and Into the Light (Allen) - 7:44 Benny Golson - tenor saxophone Mike LeDonne - piano Buster Williams - bass Carl Allen - drums At age eighty-seven, saxophonist Benny Golson is one of the last surviving links to the Golden Age of modern jazz, ushered in by the likes of Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Bud Powell, Kenny Clarke and others in the early '40s. Golson came on the bop scene about a decade later and has been a force ever since, whether playing, composing, arranging, buttressing Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers or leading groups of various sizes. In 1956, Golson wrote "Whisper Not," the first of several of his works that may properly be labeled jazz standards. That list includes (but is not limited to) "I Remember Clifford," "Blues March," "Along Came Betty" and "Killer Joe." On tenor sax, Golson has his own voice, a husky, vibrato-laden dialect out of the Ben Webster / Coleman Hawkins school with an occasional nod to Lester Young and subtle permutations that set him apart from those and other forebears. If time has dulled Golson's razor-sharp mind or degraded his admirable technique, it's certainly not apparent on Horizon Ahead, on which Golson is in total command of a much-more-youthful rhythm section. To further press home the point, he composed four of the album's nine selections including the title song, (presumably) arranged the first eight tracks, and even wrote the elaborate liner notes. Aside from Golson's winning themes, the menu consists of Ellington's "Mood Indigo" and "Don't Get Around Much Anymore," the standards "Lulu's Back in Town" and "Three Little Words," and Carl Allen's solo drum piece, "Out of the Darkness, and Into the Light" (the last preceded by Golson's astute spoken introduction). There's a pleasing aura of self-assurance and self-control throughout, even when Golson and his mates are wailing, as on "Jump Start," "Domingo" or "Three Little Words." Pianist Mike LeDonne plays his role as accompanist / soloist with aplomb, as does bassist Buster Williams (who duets with Golson on a charming version of "Lulu's Back in Town"). Allen's timekeeping is up to its usual standards, so no more need be said about that. At an age that is far past retirement for most mortals, Benny Golson not only keeps working but showing a younger generation that when it comes to contemporary jazz, maturity and experience are dependable allies in the ongoing battle with Father Time. It is, of course, a battle that can never be won, but Golson proves on Horizon Ahead that when his time comes, he'll definitely go down swinging. http://rapidgator.net/file/575d699667d636d5090ca7f928dbe913/Benny_Golson.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/g06K3SoZp/Benny_Golson.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/yrvk9ns2/Benny_Golson.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://rapidgator.net/file/1282c2b6e6df4de57cef4259335579d0/Benny_Golson_-_Horizon.rar.html ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://ssh.tf/erh5McNZp/Benny_Golson_-_Horizon.rar ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss http://uploaded.net/file/x0zk87c2/Benny_Golson_-_Horizon.rar
